Owen Foote
Published in Hardcover by Houghton Mifflin Co (15 October, 2001)
Authors: Stephanie Greene and Martha Weston
Average review score:

IT'S SOOOO GREAT!!!!!!
I have read the two Owen Foote books that she has written so far and they are both ABSOLUTELY STELLAR!!!!!!! Even though I am 13 I have read both many times. The lessons in life they taught me are spectacular and I learned so much about how to be a nice homo sapien. I wish Stephanie would write many more books in this spectacular series!!!!!!!!!

I Think that this is a great sequel!!!
I am the authors son, Oliver who is meant to be the inspiration for her writing the Owen Foote series. I think that my mom is pretty good at understanding children like me and trying to write realistically. She does not know that I am writing this, but I hope one day she will see it. I remember the happy day when she sold the book, and I am proud for her. I think that all young soccer players will enjoy this book.

Playwise: 365 Fun-Filled Activities for Building Character, Conscience, and Emotional Intelligence in Children
Published in Paperback by J. P. Tarcher (August, 1996)
Authors: Denise Chapman Weston, Mark S. Weston, and Denise Chapman Weston
Average review score:

Excellent book, creative and practical.
As a psychologist, clients who are parents are frequently concerned about ways to communicate some of the strengths they gained by being in therapy to their children. They want to communicate some of the values and lessons of emotional intelligence in a palatable way. This book really succeeds in addressing some of the important issues and in providing fun ways of teaching them to children

Great Projects, educational & character building ideas.
I really have enjoyed this book. The projects have many great qualities. They help build character, make a child feel great because of what the can accomplish, and give them a way to feel creative. My son needed help with self esteem. They had many projects that help to boost self esteem. This book is a must for all parents. It is so full of things you can do with your children, you will not even need another book

Scary Rednecks and Other Inbred Horrors
Published in Paperback by DarkTales Publications (01 January, 2000)
Authors: David Whitman and Weston Ochse
Average review score:

Great Collection
This short story collection is an awesome addition to any horror fans library. The stories all involve southern folk in weird, sometimes scary and othertimes side-splittingly hilarious situations. The stories are a fast read, well-written, entertaining, and enlightening. David Whitman has a true gift for dialogue and dark comedy and is surely a rising star. I truly enjoyed the colleciton and know if you take a gamble, you won't be disappointed.

Lots of fun stuff in here!
This is a pretty unusual collection (I can't recall the last time I saw a collection dedicated to the folks from this often forgotten aspect of society) but well-deserving of notice for its eclectic flavor. Pick it up for some fine entertainment and a great addition to your collection of books.

Seriously Dark and Disturbed

Brutal Dreamer Review
...Reviewed by Brutal Dreamer
The Brutal Introduction...
to the NIGHTSCAPER'S SERIOUSLY DARK AND DISTURBED dementia:
This disturbing collection is written by a star that glimmers through nightscapes and nightmares; she's seriously dark and disturbed... and brutally wicked! Exceptional book and I highly recommend it.

This fiendish authoress, Nora Weston will enlighten you on the blackest of nights where silence looms over you and her ethereal words will caress you with each tease of the candlelight. She'll envelope you into her world.

You've not been in the entrails of darkness, until... you have been bathed with these seriously dark and disturbed nightscapes from Nora Weston. She'll cradle you seductively in "Touched by the Devil" and then send your soul straight to Hell as you plead for mercy in "Drakken - Dark Knight of Death". Journey through the pages brave reader, through these hellish pleasures from the ultimate panic-stricken one; one that is seriously dark and disturbed, the Nightscaper!

Don't be frightened to voyage into her dementia as she leads you through these maddening memoirs of her bloodthirsty fantasies. Fear not, she'll will only take you where you will indulge your passions and soothe you bruised egos with a fictional love affair for abused, sad, Rachael. One of my favorite tales in the book: "Crimson Knight" which is also the first piece of work I ever read of Nightscaper's. She knew then she had me in her evil clutch and spell-bound for more. This story was ferociously told and tightly written. Then the baneful authoress surprised me. It wasn't much later, after reading "Crimson Knight", she sent me the dazzler called: "Black Masquerade".

And then I realized when I received Nightscaper's collection, that she was just tantalizing me. I had no idea just how dark... how disturbed... Nightscaper was; until I read some of her poetry she included in this assortment works. I felt I was in an unyielding tempest of her dark cravings tinged with "Red Rain" and many other vivid dreamlike scenes that causes much anxiety in the one she bestows her trickery on through her unique prose.

Beware, she's very cunning and will have you as a devoted reader of her nightscares within a flash, she also included five quick glimpses into her darkest pits of despair.

If I had to pick my very favorite tale from this menagerie of The Dark One's severest writings, I'd choose "Touched by the Devil" because I love a good steamy story from deathly depths of Hades. Who are you craving in your dreams, Nightscaper? Readers and dreamers alike be wary, according to Nightscaper your dream lover just might be more than a nightmare.

You will be entranced and not allowed to leave her dark and disturbed world until the final page. Open the book, turn the page, and remember: You've been warned, contents are seriously dark and disturbed.

Seriously Dark and Disturbed ...

Very clever perspective of good vs. evil in the everyday
Nora's poems, stories and flash fiction tales illustrate the dark side of humanity (the "disturbed" side), but then they
also reflect how each main character chooses to resolve their conflict between the dark vs. light. Each tale
allows you to understand the main character's plight,
and, whether you intended to or not, you question if you,
the reader, would have made the same choice.

A wonderful gift for a Westport Native
I spent my youth in Westport,Connecticut. My sister gave me a copy of the book for Christmas and I was thoroughly impressed with the simple approach the author (photographer) took in creating a beautiful journey down memory lane. Anyone who loves New England would enjoy the quality of this charming photographic essay of a very special town.

A 21st Century Ethical Toolbox
Published in Paperback by Oxford University Press (December, 2000)
Author: Anthony Weston
Average review score:

Superb introduction to ethical reasoning
Most introductory ethics textbooks focus on the usual suspects: relativism, egoism, and the major competing ethical theories. In most, a discussion of ethical reasoning is limited to the first chapter of the book. In this expanded version of his previously published *A Practical Companion to Ethics*, Weston provides us with an introduction to ethics that places ethical *reasoning* at the forefront. The traditional material is also given some air time, but always in line with Weston's goal of teaching his readers how to *think* ethically.
Weston's book is a treasure for anyone coming to ethics in a formal manner for the first time. Much of what we see concerning "ethics" is, at best, intellectually sloppy. Weston's book provides us with a set of skills that can be adopted to make ethical reasoning a lot less sloppy, to the sure advantage of everyone. Some of the topic areas include: use of loaded language, how to reframe ethical problems, how to reconclie conflicting values, how to keep ethical debate from bogging down in the mire, how to use theories to make ethical decisions, and how to form novel solutions to ethical problems. His pedagogy is strengthened by his focus, in the last section of the book, on several current ethical issues, which are analyzed using the skills Weston provides in the earlier sections.
Some say skills can't be taught by reading, but Weston's book comes awfully close to putting the lie to this old saw. The activities at the end of each chapter provide both students, teachers, and laypersons with much meat on which to chew, making this an ideal textbook on ethical reasoning. Anyone interested in thinking better about ethics, which should be everyone, can profit greatly from this book, whatever their experience. But for those coming to the field for the first time, Weston's book is indispensible.
